LUCKEY – The Luckey Historical Society’s big project for the year will be to refurbish the oldest
building in Luckey – the Town Hall.
Two separate bids are out now for work to be done on the town hall’s porch and windows.
A report was given at the historical society’s recent monthly meeting about its endeavors at the Luckey
Fall Festival.
Many people reported enjoying the society’s display and contest on naming the antique tools and household
items. The winner of the contest donated his winnings to the society.
The flea market also was reported to have been a success.
It was announced that the historical society’s new 2010 calendars, featuring pictures of Luckey’s Main
Street years ago, are now available at Otte Plumbing Shop or at the Luckey Bank.
The group held a Society Tea on Oct. 22.
Its next meeting will be Nov. 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the Luckey Public Library.
