BG men’s soccer wins
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Bowling Green’s Jacob Lawrence scored on a penalty kick with less than five minutes
remaining in regulation to lift the Falcons to a 4-3 victory over Buffalo in a Mid-American Conference
men’s soccer match Friday.
It was the first conference win of the season for the Falcons, 2-8-2 overall and 1-2 in the MAC.
Lawrence also scored BG’s first goal of the game while Hunter Van Houten had a goal and an assist and
Cameron Hepple had an unassisted goal. BG’s Dylan Schoettley made five saves.
Falcon women’s soccer ties
Bowling Green and Kent State played to a 0-0 tie in Mid-American Conference women’s soccer action Friday.

BG’s Alexa Arsenault made eight saves and the Falcons had two team saves. The Falcons had only seven
total shots in the game and Kent State’s Kelly Sherwood made four saves.
BG is 4-9-3 overall and 0-4-3 in the MAC.
BG volleyball wins
Bowling Green’s volleyball team downed Eastern Michigan, 17-25, 25-20, 25-18, 17-25, 15-8 Friday.
The win broke an 11-match losing streak for BG, 8-14 overall and 1-6 in the MAC.
BG’s leaders were: Kaitlin Jackson, 17 kills, 19 digs; Emily Kauth, 11 kills; Noelle Spitler, 11 kills;
Cassie Berning, 10 kills; Allison Kearney, 59 assists, 13 digs, three aces; Shari Luther, 17 kills, four
blocks; Alex Zlabis, 27 digs; and Ashley Herzberg, 16 digs.
