Vocalists to sing for luncheon series
Christopher and Ellen Scholl, and Jane Schoonmaker Rodgers, faculty members at Bowling Green State
University, will sing for a Brown Bag Music Series Friday from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Simpson
Building, 1291 Conneaut Ave.
Attendees are invited to bring their lunch and listen to the performance, which is sponsored by the city
of Bowling Green’s Parks and Recreation Department, along with the Bowling Green State University
College of Musical Arts.

Lone Raven on stage in Pemberville Saturday
PEMBERVILLE – Lone Raven, a Celtic band with a world music bent, will perform a Live in the House concert
at the Pemberville Opera House Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
The quartet featuring a frontline of two fiddlers, who also sing, backed by 12-string guitar and
accordion and more than a dozen other instruments, mix Celtic favorites with gypsy tunes and the strains
of Eastern Europe.

New music ensemble concert Thursday at BGSU
The College of Musical Arts’ New Music Ensemble will perform a concert Thursday at 8 p.m. in Kobacker
Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center on the Bowling Green State University campus.
Otsego grad Harter exhibits artwork at Siena Heights
ADRIAN, Mich. – Siena Heights University senior Jonah Harter will present an exhibit of his work 
"The Lemonhead" from March 17-22 in Klemm Gallery in Studio Angelico on the Adrian campus.
 Harter’s exhibit includes animation, comics and digital prints featuring his own original characters. In
his artist statement, he said, "the story is a saga of the teen Robert Lemonhead III." It also
features other fruit-inspired characters that live in the fictional town of The Loom.
The idea for his characters stemmed from a creative writing exercise in his Graphic Novel course.  
A 2011 Otsego High School graduate, Harter is the son of Jamie and Cindy Harter of Grand Rapids.

Folk musician Charlie Parr to visit the Village Idiot
MAUMEE – Songwriter and guitarist Charlie Parr will perform Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the Village Idiot, 309
Conant St.
Hailing from Duluth, Minnesota, Parr plays original folk blues and traditional spirituals on banjo and a
pair of National guitars, a 12-string and a resonator.
His next release "Stumpjumper," recorded at the Down Yonder Farm in North Carolina, is due out
in late April.
GlasSalon jazz show features Kyle Turner at Castle keys
TOLEDO – Kyle Turner will be at the keyboard of the Toledo Museum of Art’s Castle Piano for a Jazz at the
GlasSalon show March 12 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Joining Turner will be Nelson Overton II, drums, and J. Ronquillo, bass.
Tickets are $20, $15 for Art Tatum Jazz Society members and $5 for students.

Toledo Rep to hold ‘South Pacific’ auditions
TOLEDO – Auditions for the Toledo Rep’s musical production of "South Pacific" will be held at
the Ballet Theatre of Toledo, 1124 Corporate Drive, Holland  March 15, beginning at 3 p.m.
Invited callbacks will be held   March 16 at 6:30 p.m. at 425 N. St. Clair Street.
Participants must arrive promptly at 3 p.m., dressed for a dance audition, and be prepared to sing an
excerpt from the show and read from the script. Character descriptions, voice parts and more information
on roles can be found at www.toledorep.org under the "Audition" tab.
Directed by James M. Norman, "South Pacific" will run three weekends from June 5 through June
21.
