Guitar shows on tap

Several performances are scheduled in conjunction with the Electric Guitar in Popular Culture Conference
March 27 and 28 in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union on the Bowling Green State University campus.
Each day of the conference will end with a free performance at Grounds for Thought, 174 S. Main St.
Bowling Green.
Friday night’s show will feature hard rock and heavy metal guitarist Chuck Stohl and Friends and
conference Organizer Matt Donahue’s Mad45.
Saturday night’s show will feature Finnish guitarist Kimi Karki, known for his work with heavy metal band
Reverend Bizazzre and prog rock band Orne, has recently released an album of experimental folk.
Also on the show will be bluesman Little Axe (Skip McDonald).
Performance and presentations in room 206 of the student union during the day will be:
• Friday at 2 p.m. with Chris Buzzelli and the BGSU Guitar Ensemble
• Saturday at 3 p.m. a solo set by blueswoman Kelly Richey.
The conference starts with a keynote by writer Martin Poppoff March 27 at 10 a.m. in the Union Theater.
