Findlay woman arrested for drunken behaviour

Bowling Green police were dispatched to the 1700 block of East Wooster Street Monday for a report of a highly intoxicated female.

When officers arrived around 6:50 p.m., they observed the female, identified as Jennifer Peterman, 39, Findlay, using a pole to support herself near a group of storage containers, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

When officers approached Peterman, they smelled a strong alcoholic odor. Peterman informed officers that she believed that she was being followed by a group of people and that someone was out to get her. Peterman was barely coherent and was slurring her words heavily, according to the report.

Peterman asked if she could sit in the back of the police cruiser, which officers allowed. Peterman had great difficulty walking to the cruiser and fell over multiple times, according to the report.

BGFD was called to the scene due to Peterman’s level of intoxication. She denied drinking any alcoholic beverages and stated that she was only comfortable speaking with the officers, according to the report.

Peterman refused to walk to the ambulance and threatened to harm the staff. Officers then transported Peterman to the hospital, according to the report.

Peterman was arrested for disorderly conduct/intoxicated-unable to care for self and was taken to jail.
