Join the Wood County District Public Library for a concert in the Atrium. The BGSU College of Musical Arts students will perform live at the library on Monday at 6:30 p.m.

Make magic with fairy houses at Wintergarden Park

The Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department and the Wood County District Public Library Children’s Place will explore the hidden world of fairies. The adventure begins at 4 p.m. on Wednesday at Wintergarden/St. John’s Nature Preserve.

Enjoy stories, then create a fairy village along the trail by designing and constructing your own fairy house. This is a free, drop-in program. Children are welcome to come dressed in wings.

This program will take place at Wintergarden Park. No registration is required.

Meet ‘Carl the Collector’ during a preview screening

Get ready for a brand-new PBS KIDS animated series coming this fall. Join the Wood County District Public Library and WBGU-PBS for a special preview screening of “Carl the Collector” on Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Bowling Green library.

“Carl the Collector” follows Carl, a warm-hearted raccoon who loves collecting things. This groundbreaking series features central characters on the autism spectrum, a first for PBS KIDS. Carl and his friends solve problems in their hometown of Fuzzytown. Grab a freebie while they last.

Read, write, and love romance during author event

Join the Wood County District Public Library and the Maumee Valley Romance Authors Inc. for Romance: Read It, Write It, Love It on Oct. 19 from 1-4 p.m. in the 2nd Floor Meeting Room at the library.

MVRAI authors will talk about their work, how to get published, and promote their new anthology “Just in Time for Christmas, Tales of Romance.” This new anthology features work from Constance Phillips, Shay Lacy, Susana Ellis, Denise Lynn, and Mila Winters. Grab your own copies of their books, get them signed, and enter raffles for the chance to win prizes.
