Timothy “Tim” Edward Musselman Sr.

Timothy “Tim” Edward Musselman Sr., 73 of Zanesville, formerly of Bowling Green, passed away peacefully 6:00 AM, Sunday, October 6, 2024, at his home.

He was born Sunday, August 19, 1951, in Zanesville, the son of Michael Raymond Musselman and Catherine “Kate” Marie (Rowan) Musselman, and was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

He attended St. Thomas Grade School, and was a 1969 graduate of Bishop Rosecrans High School. During his school years he enjoyed performing in theater arts. Tim was an altar boy, and sold the Zanesville Times Recorder after all Sunday Masses at the church. He enjoyed art, music, and being outside in nature. Tim loved photography, and was an artist in so many ways.

Tim worked for the Heart of Ohio Girl Scouts Office for many years. In 2006, he moved to Bowling Green to be near his daughter, Alesia and her family who loved him dearly and took care of his every need. While in Bowling Green he volunteered at the Connection Center. The time he spent at the center was a passion and a job he deeply loved. Tim recently moved back to Zanesville to be close to his youngest son, A.J. Musselman and his family.

Tim proudly watched Alesia’s children, Ysabella, Kye and Zander grow, and wanted to return to Zanesville to enjoy his youngest grandson, Lyric. He was immensely proud of all three of his children. Tim also shared a special relationship with his oldest son, Tim Musselman Jr., who was born on Tim’s birthday.

Tim is survived by three children, Timothy E. (Debbie) Musselman Jr., Alesia (Scott) Aromas and A.J. (Lea) Musselman; six grandchildren, Jessica, Jake, Ysabella, Kye, Zander and Lyric; the mother of his children, Jacqueline Smith; four sisters, Kathleen (Gary) Copp, Mary Ann (Richard) Bigger, Alberta (Norman) Hatmaker, and Jane (Robert) Awtrey; five brothers, Michael (Corinne) Musselman, Patrick (Kaye) Musselman, Dan Musselman, Vincent (Lori) Musselman, and Rich (Deb) Musselman; two sisters-in-law, Mella Musselman and Kathleen Musselman, numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews and his beloved dog and best buddy Tweeter.

In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Musselman and Terp Musselman.

Friends may call 3-6 p.m., Sunday, October 13, 2024, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, where the Rosary will be recited at 5:45 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 14, 2024, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 144 North Fifth Street, Zanesville, with Fr. Brian Beall as celebrant.

Tim will be laid to rest beside his parents in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
