Bowling Green police were dispatched Sunday to the 900 block of South Main Street for a theft report.

Dispatch told officers that the subjects got into a black Jeep and left the area, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

Around 12:12 p.m., the vehicle was spotted traveling northbound on South Main Street before turning eastbound onto East Napoleon Road. A citizen told officers that they last saw the vehicle going northbound on South Summit Street, according to the report.

Dispatch then advised officers that the Jeep might be at an auto shop near the 500 block of Clough Street.

Officers spoke to the Jeep’s owner, Keith Kochioan, 32, Toledo, who stated that he was doing a favor for a woman, according to the report.

He said he went into the store and attempted to use the woman’s credit card and was notified that the card did not go through. The female subject, Stephanie Hummer, 39, Toledo, and a male subject, Ricardo Lewis, 46, Toledo, took off with the vehicle, according to the report.

Hummer was found in the 500 block of East Wooster Street and was arrested on a warrant out of Lucas County. Lewis was found in the 1400 block of East Wooster Street, according to the report.

Kochioan, who first told officers he did not know Hummer and Lewis, later admitted to officers that he lied to protect them. He also provided false identification.

The dollar amount taken from the store was over $200, according to the report.

Kochioan was arrested for complicity to theft and falsification.

Hummer was arrested for theft/shoplifting.

Lewis was arrested for complicity to theft and possession of drug paraphernalia as well as outstanding warrants through Lucas and Wood counties.

All were taken to jail.
