Bowling Green police were on foot patrol in City Lot 1 Sunday when they were approached by a concerned citizen who advised that she believed there was a dead man in the alleyway.

Around 12:29 a.m., officers entered the alleyway and observed a male lying on the pavement with his head and arms tucked into his t-shirt, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

The male, later identified as Jonathan Brown III, 37, Bowling Green, was passed out and unresponsive to verbal commands. Officers placed their hand on Brown’s shoulder and shook him until he woke up, according to the report.

When Brown woke up, he was extremely confused and was unaware of his location. While speaking with Brown, officers smelled a strong alcoholic odor. Brown had glossy eyes and was unable to sit upright, according to the report.

When officers asked Brown how much alcohol he had consumed, he replied, “too much.” Officers asked dispatch to send a squad for Brown due to his level of intoxication, according to the report.

When the squad arrived, Brown began vomiting all over the ground and himself.

He was cited for disorderly conduct/intoxicated-unable to care for self and was taken to the hospital, according to the report.
