Norma Marie Hoover, 95, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away September 4, 2024.
She was born September 16, 1928 to Alfred and Laura (Bauman) Babcock in Napoleon, Ohio. Norma graduated from Liberty Center High School in 1946. Norma married Herbert E. Hoover on June 13, 1948.
They lived in Napoleon until 1959 when they moved to Bowling Green. Norma worked as a real estate agent for Hoover Realty. Norma & Herb enjoyed square dancing, reading, going to church, traveling throughout the United States and Europe and wintering in Florida.
They raised four children, Kay (Bob) Hartman of Bowling Green, Ohio; Carol (Jon) Treece of Bowling Green, Ohio; Bill (Charlene) Hoover of Palm Coast, Florida; and Tom (Julie) Hoover of Cape Coral, Florida.
Tom died May 28, 2024. Norma was also preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Herb, her parents, sisters Lavon Bennett and Marilyn Palmer, brother Earl Babcock, grandson BJ Treece and Jason Kepple.
She is survived by 10 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at BG Manor and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the care they provided during Norma’s final days.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 200 N. Summit St., Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Visitation will be held that morning at the church from 9:30 until the time of the service at 11 a.m.
Her final resting place will be at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, 4210 Central Ave. Toledo, Ohio.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dunn Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Trinity United Methodist Church, Wood County Committee on Aging or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
