Betty L. Studer, Grand Rapids Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2024 at the age of 95.

Her family was by her side.

Betty was born on January 7, 1929 in Whitehouse, Ohio to Anna (Schudel) and Emil Elendt. Betty was a graduate of Whitehouse High School. She married the love her life Ralph R. Studer on September 13, 1948.

They were married 47 years and made their home in Grand Rapids where together they raised three sons.

Betty retired from Campbell Soup Company where she worked for over 30 years. She loved to dance to country music, play cards, venture to the casinos, and spend time with family. In her later years she liked to watch baseball and was a big Detroit Tigers fan. Family and friends would all remember Betty’s generous hospitality and her special baked beans.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ralph and her siblings Marie (Harry) Walters, Roger Elendt, Robert Elendt, Margaret (Richard) Rice, and Dorothy (Richard) Keifer.

Betty is survived by her sons Leroy (Connie), Richard (Ruth) and Terry (Mary Ann); her grandchildren Lisa (Rod) Swinehart, Jamie Studer, Laurie (Greg) Konrad, Carissa Studer, Terry Jr. (Melissa) Studer, Anthony (Erin) Studer, Kaitlin (Amy) Ayrault, and Thomas Studer. Betty had ten great grandchildren Natasha, Lauren, Shaun, Emma, Claire, Rosemary, Nolan, Seamus, Hazel, and Jack. She also had two great- great grandchildren Oliver and River.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, September 9, 2024 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Hanneman Funeral Home, 24084 W. 2nd Street, Grand Rapids, OH 43522. Burial will take place immediately following visitation at Beaver Creek Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Betty’s honor may be gifted to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or organization of the donor’s choice.
