3 men charged after downtown fight

Bowling Green police were dispatched Aug. 25 to the 100 block of West Wooster Street for a report of a fight behind the bar.

When officers arrived around 2:39 a.m., they observed two white males walking in City Lot 4, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report which was released this week.

One male was helping the other male, who was injured, get back to their vehicle. The injured male had a wound on the back of his head and his shirt was covered in blood.

BG EMS was called.

The uninjured male told officers that they were walking in the 100 block of East Wooster Street when a group of males on bikes approached them. The uninjured male stated that the group of males threw a bike, bottle and brick at them, according to the report.

The injured male was hit in the back of the head by the glass bottle. When officers were searching their vehicle, they found several open alcoholic containers and brass knuckles, according to the report.

The uninjured male stated that one of the males involved was a black male with dreads while another was a middle-aged white male. Officers located a group of males on the 100 block of West Wooster Street matching the description, according to the report.

A 17-year-old male was charged with felonious assault and was taken to the juvenile detention center.

Daniel Ruiz, 19, Bowling Green, was cited for rioting and riding a bike on sidewalk.

Harley Conley, 31, Defiance, was charged with aggravated menacing, tampering with evidence, rioting and riding a bike on sidewalk.

Information regarding this report was requested last Monday morning and was recieved on Saturday morning.
