Vehicle reported stolen – or repossessed

Bowling Green Police were dispatched Sunday to the 400 block of Napoleon Road for a report of a stolen vehicle.

When officers arrived around 6:10 p.m., they spoke with the complainants who stated that their 2017 Honda CRV was missing, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

One of the complainants told police that they parked the vehicle in front of the residence on Saturday around 10 p.m. When they exited the residence on Sunday around 5:50 p.m., they discovered that the vehicle was missing, according to the report.

The complainant told police that the vehicle was locked and that both sets of car keys were in the residence. There were no signs of broken glass at the scene, according to the report.

The vehicle’s rear license plate frame has a Galaxy print and says, “Give me space.” The vehicle also has a parking permit sticker on the rear window of its lower right side, according to the report.

The complainants told officers that they were behind on payments for the vehicle and stated that it might have been repossessed. Dispatch advised that no repossessions have been reported as of Sunday, according to the report.

The complainants stated that they intend to check with the leasing company on Monday regarding possible repossession. The vehicle was last confirmed on the REKOR cameras on East Wooster Street at Prospect Street on Friday around 6:17 p.m.

The vehicle was entered into LEADS as stolen, according to the report.
