Bowling Green Police were dispatched Monday to the 100 block of North Main Street for a report of vandalism.

When officers arrived around 11:38 a.m., they spoke with the caller who stated that their building had been vandalized with black spray paint, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

The caller showed officers the defaced panel on the wall of the building. The caller stated that they thought the panel had been spray painted sometime between Sunday and the time of the call, according to the report.

The caller told police that they thought the paint to cover the graffiti would cost approximately $250. The caller also showed officers graffiti that had been done to the building south of theirs. The graffiti on both buildings had similar markings, according to the report.

Officers then spoke to one of the employees that work in the south building, who believed that the vandalism was done to the building on July 31. A male was later located on security cameras spray painting the walls on Aug. 1 around 6:55 p.m., according to the report.

The photo of the man was placed on social media in an attempt to positively identify the offender, according to the report.
