Bowling Green Police were dispatched Tuesday to the 500 block of Derby Avenue for a report of two young boys running around in diapers.

When officers arrived around 4:23 a.m., they spoke with the caller, who advised there were glass shards all over the stone yard and the boys were not wearing shoes.

Officers recognized the boys from a similar, previous incident that occurred on Saturday. The boys live seven blocks away from where they were found, according to the report.

The boys were found dirty and not wearing any clothes except for a diaper. They had bruises and scratches all over their bodies, according to the report.

The Bowling Green Fire Division transported the boys to the hospital, where they were treated for their injuries.

Wood County Jobs and Family Services responded to the hospital to assess the boys prior to the parents’ arrival.

The mother, Chantell Ransom, stated that she had no idea the boys had gotten out of the house and that she normally sleeps in the same room as them. Ransom told officers that she normally wakes up when they leave the room but did this time, according to the report.

Both parents stated that they thought the boys were done leaving the house after multiple attempts to stop them. The father, Jeffery Stoller, told police that they moved into their current residence 10 months ago and has not installed the locks/alarms yet, according to the report.

Jobs and Family Services released the boys to their parents.

Stoller, 34, Bowling Green, was cited for two counts of endangering children.

Ransom, 40, Bowling Green, was cited for two counts of endangering children.
