Emil J. Slavik, age 83, of Perrysburg and formerly of Luckey, OH passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024, at St. Clare Commons, Perrysburg.
He was born on May 25, 1941, in Toledo, OH to John and Frances (Motycka) Slavik. Following graduation from high school, he later served his country in the United States Army.
Emil worked with various employers in various capacities. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, and among his joys were his feline friends.
Emil is survived by his cousins: Janet (Kenneth) Niese of Continental, OH, Linda Niese of Celina, TX, Eugene (Nancy) Motycka of Hertford, NC, Pat (Loren) Wachtman of Grelton, OH, and Jim Motycka of Napoleon, OH; and sister-in-law, Carol Slavik of Anchor Pointe, AK.
Emil was preceded in death by his parents, brother. Richard Slavik, cousins-in-law: Dwight Niese, and Frank Motycka,
Family and friends will be received 10-11 a.m. with a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 East Front, Perrysburg, OH. Celebrant will be Parochial Vicar Fr. Kyle Gase. Committal will be in St. Rose Cemetery, Perrysburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to: Kind Hearts Hospice or St. Rose Catholic Church.
