PERRYSBURG — On Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m., Woodlands Park in Perrysburg will come alive with the sounds of pop rock and easy listening music as the Ben DeLong Band performs for the Wednesday at Woodlands lunchtime concert series.

Concertgoers are encouraged to bring a chair or have lunch at one of the many picnic tables available in the shelter area. Concerts take place in the Woodlands Park shelter area, 429 E. Boundary St.

Ben DeLong will be performing with percussionist Don Flugga and Pete Rodriguez on guitar. DeLong is a classically trained pianist with a degree in trumpet performance. His diverse musical talents and experiences make him a standout performer in the local music scene. Known as a “one man band” he is a multi- instrumentalist and can perform with two instruments simultaneously.

In addition to his solo performances, DeLong plays with other local bands, including the Lee Warren Band and Swingmania. He is also dedicated to community engagement, performing regularly at local senior centers. His musical journey includes coordinating the music for Music at the Market, and Levis Commons as well as recording trumpet tracks with the band Sanctus Real, as well as a memorable moment when Amy Grant praised his vocal abilities and invited him to sing on stage with her. Flugga is an area drummer and owner of All Star Music, in music lessons, and instrument rental. Rodriguez is a talented and energetic lead guitarist who performs regularly with the Ben DeLong Band.

This concert series is possible with the support of The City of Perrysburg and the Norma (Swaisgood) Stark Memorial Garden and Labyrinth. For more information, please email [email protected] or text 419 902 2782.
