Fremont woman injured in 1-vehicle crash

A Fremont woman drove off the road on July 20.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash. The Wood County Sherrif’s Office handled the situation.

Around 10:53 p.m., Kayleen Grachek, 18, Fremont, was traveling westbound in a 2024 Volkswagen Taos on U.S. 6. Grachek then went off road to the right through the grass, then striking the ditch on the south side of the highway, coming to final rest.

Grachek suffered minor injuries and was transported to the Mercy Health – St. Vincent Medical Center via Life Flight. She was not wearing a seatbelt.
