3 Wood County residents indicted for theft

Three Wood County residents have been indicted for theft.

A Wood County grand jury on Wednesday indicted Leeann Cox, 27, Pemberville, for two counts of theft, both fifth-degree felonies. In February, she allegedly used a Bowling Green woman’s debit card to make unauthorized purchases and ATM withdrawals valued at more than $1,000.

Sandra Aldina Rosales, 52, Bowling Green, was indicted for theft, a fifth-degree felony. On March 23, she allegedly deprived a Bowling Green business of a 5×8 trailer valued at about $2,000. She allegedly rented the trailer and had not returned it trailer for nearly 70 days.

Joshua Thomas Irick, 34, Jerry City, was indicted for theft from a person in a protected class, a third-degree felony. On May 23, 2021, he allegedly deprived an elderly couple of currency by deception.

The grand jury also indicted:

Sandor J. Fekete, 37, of Toledo and currently in jail, for abduction and violating a protection order, both third-degree felonies; domestic violence and disrupting public service, both fourth-degree felonies. On July 1, he allegedly terrorized and inflicted serious harm on a woman after not allowing her outside of their Rossford hotel room for three weeks to get medical attention. He allegedly assaulted her with his hands and her crutches. He was arrested on an active warrant.

Zachary Ian Tachar, 26, Dearborn, Michigan, for burglary, a second-degree felony; and petty theft, a first-degree misdemeanor. On Sept. 9, he allegedly trespassed at Fairfield Inn, which was occupied, and took money.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Oliviah Marlene Wallace, 29, Napoleon, for illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds of a specified government facility, a third-degree felony; possession of a fentanyl-related compound and possession of drugs, both fifth-degree felonies. From April 8-May 3, she allegedly conveyed drugs into an office building or other facility under government control. On May 3, she allegedly was found in possession of a fentanyl-related compound and Buprenorphine.

William Christopher Lyle, 30, Hamtramck, Michigan, for failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony. On Jan. 8, 2023, he allegedly willfully eluded or fled from police after receiving a visible or audible signal to stop.

Co-defendants Mohamad Majdi Saleh, 27, of Hamilton, and Wisam Mahmoud Farhan, 27, West Chester, for possession of marijuana, a third-degree felony. On July 2, 2023, they allegedly were found in possession of at least 5,000 but less than 20,000 grams of marijuana.

Co-defendants Justin Michael Bevan, 28, and Mark Anthony Eugene Fitch, 27, both of Columbus, for money laundering, a third-degree felony; and possession of criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony. On May 12, they attempted to conduct a transaction with the purpose of a corrupt activity. If found guilty, they may have to forfeit $22,119 in currency and cell phones.

Christopher Allen Braden, 32, Bowling Green and currently in jail, for strangulation, a third-degree felony; and domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor. On July 11, Bowling Green police were called to an Eighth Street apartment for a report of a woman yelling for help. The woman told officers Braden had choked her and showed them her neck. Braden had left the apartment before police arrived but was later apprehended and taken to jail.

Brittney Kristyn Dyer, 32, Pemberville, for felonious assault, a second-degree felony; and domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor. On June 8 in Northwood, Dyer allegedly drove her vehicle off the roadway toward a woman who was standing on the sidewalk. The woman was dating Dyer’s ex-boyfriend, according to court paperwork. The woman told police that Dyer had sent her threatening messages a few days previously.

Mindy K. Harvey, 39, Fremont, for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. She allegedly was found in possession of methamphetamine on Dec. 15.

Brent E. Wright, 61, Sylvania, for failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony; two counts of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse or a combination of them (OVI), both first-degree misdemeanors. On June 24, state troopers attempted a traffic stop on U.S. 20 and I-75. As the driver, identified as Wright, fled, the officer observed him throw a clear plastic cup of suspected alcohol out of the window. He was pursued by several agencies to his home in Sylvania Township, where he was arrested. His blood alcohol was tested at 0.091.

Jesus Roman Cardenas, 29, Bowling Green, for trespass in a habitation when a person was present or likely to be present, a fourth-degree felony. On July 15 at 2:53 a.m., he allegedly walked into a South Main Street residence and into the bedroom, causing the inhabitant to wake up. The resident reportedly escorted Cardens to the door, where a physical altercation took place.

Derek Thomas Combs, 25, of Bowling Green and currently in jail, for domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony. On June 6 in Walbridge, Combs allegedly grabbed a woman by her upper arm and pulled her to the ground. Once on her feet, Combs allegedly grabbed her by the neck and pushed her against a wall. Combs had previously pleaded guilty of domestic violence in 2023 in Perrysburg Municipal Court.
