Youngsters can design a floral arrangement and take the finished product home.
On Aug. 2, a Floral Design Challenge will take place at the Wood County Fair from 1-3 p.m. in the Home and Garden Building.
Organized by Penta Career Center’s Horticulture program, the event is free for kids age 5 to 18.
A brief floral design workshop will take place at the start of the event. Participants will create a floral design of their choice with a variety of materials provided.
The arrangements will be judged and awards will be provided in both the junior and senior 4-H divisions.
Onsite registration is available beginning at 12:30 p.m. that day.
