Robert A. Ferguson, 91, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away July 9, 2024.
He was born September 9, 1932 in North Baltimore, Ohio to the late Clarence and Pearl (Cline) Ferguson. He married Mary Lou Hentges on June 22, 1957 and she preceded him in death on August 12, 2016.
Robert served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He retired from Brush Wellman in 1997 after 41 years.
Robert enjoyed cooking & baking and sharing his baked goods with family, friends and people in the community. He was a talented woodworker and liked spending time gardening.
He is survived by his children Kelly (John) Trudel of San Antonio, Texas, Larry (Becky) Ferguson of Fremont, Ohio and James (Chris) Ferguson of Luckey, Ohio; grandchildren James, Larry and Steve; and great-grandchildren Emmarie, Easton, Olivia, Ethan, Hunter, Jax and Breighlynn.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary Lou and siblings Earl Ferguson, John Ferguson, Lester Ferguson, Lewis Ferguson, Patricia Roose, Susan Harmon and Sarah Jane Ferguson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 15, 2024 from 4-7 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 W. Wooster St. A scripture service will be held Monday evening at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 150 S. Enterprise St. Bowling Green, Ohio. Father Tom McQuillen will officiate. Interment will follow at Wood County Memory Gardens where full military honors will be rendered.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Indian Mission.
