PERRYSBURG – The school district’s board of education acted on several personnel issues at its regular June meeting.
The board approved one-year limited contracts for Georgia Powell, second grade teacher at Ft. Meigs Elementary; Brienne Thorn, third grade teacher at Woodland Elementary; Samantha Blausey, first grade teacher at Ft. Meigs; Jill Grayson, intervention specialist at Frank Elementary; and Abigail Baker, second grade teacher at Frank Elementary
The board accepted the resignation of Kelli Kay as assistant director of special needs, effective July 31.
The board also hired its high school head coaches for the 2024-25 school year, including Ciara Clarke, dance team; Adam “Dirk” Conner, football; Rick Rettig, boys golf; Ethan Peters, rowing; Darryl Edge, girls track; Dave Hall, baseball; Dave Boyce, boys basketball; Todd Sims, girls basketball; Aaron Wozniak, bowling; Jenna Perry, basketball and football cheerleading; Keith Madaras, boys cross country; Jon Monheim, girls cross country; Ken Thacker, girls golf; Mykel Zwayer, gymnastics; Kevin Fisher, co-ed hockey; Bailey Weatherwax, boys lacrosse; Autumn Stevens, girls lacrosse; Dennis Jeansonne, boys soccer; Jorge Diaz, girls soccer; Ryan DeMars, softball; Dave Stannert, swim; Patrick Giammarco, boys tennis; Kelly Carter, girls tennis; Matt Gosses, boys track; Laura Davidson, volleyball; and Scott Burnett, wrestling.
