VanVorhis also took a prize in digital photography contest for those 17-21 years old.

The photography contest is all about the best “Shorthorn picture.” Candid shots, scenic pasture views – any picture featuring a Shorthorn were critiqued and scored. The entries were judged based on quality of the image, positioning, originality, creativity, emphasis on Shorthorns, as well as the overall appeal. The digital photography contest allowed exhibitors to not only show their creativeness behind the lens, but also behind the computer.
