Daniel Ray Creps, 82, of Maumee, Ohio passed away July 4, 2024.

He was born January 5, 1942 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Raymond and Helen (Box) Creps. He married Audrey Fletcher April 11, 1964 and she survives in Maumee.

Dan served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Grand Rapids American Legion and Bethany Baptist Church. He owned and operated Dan’s Barber Shop in Grand Rapids for many years and also worked for the American Can Company. Dan was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved watching Westerns.

Along with his wife of 60 years, Audrey, Dan is survived by his children Dan Creps Jr. (Lora) of Greenville, South Carolina, Dwuane Creps (Veronica) of Fairburn, Georgia and Dana Jogerst of Maumee, Ohio; sisters Betty Burres of Neapolis, Ohio and Margaret Hammond of Taylors, South Carolina; grandchildren Megan (Ian) Nigh, Lauren (Alex) Giron, Erin (Caleb) Golden, Dillan Creps, Camille Creps, Heather Jogerst and John Jogerst; and great-grandchildren Theo, Eleanor and Leonor.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Thomas Creps.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Bethany Baptist Church, 14070 Bailey Road, Grand Rapids, Ohio 43522. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery where Military Honors will be rendered by the United States Army and the Grand Rapids American Legion.

Visitation will be held Friday morning at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home in Whitehouse, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be given to Bethany Baptist Church.
