Stolen Mustang recovered in Findlay

Bowling Police were dispatched Saturday to the 1600 block of East Wooster Street for a reported vehicle theft.

When officers arrived around 5:42 p.m., they spoke with the vehicle owner, who stated that he had just purchased the vehicle, a 2005 Ford Mustang, from a friend. The owner had walked into the gas station and the vehicle was stolen, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

Two males were found in the same parking lot with a Chevrolet Tahoe and a 2011 Ford Fusion, which were also stolen, according to the report.

A license plate reader detected the 2005 Ford Mustang heading eastbound near I-75 around 5:37 p.m. The vehicle was found by Findlay Police and the driver was taken to the Hancck County jail. Troopers suspected narcotics were located on the driver, according to the report.

Charges are pending at this time, according to the report.
