Bowling Green Police were dispatched Monday to the 800 block of Fourth Street for a report of an assault.
When officers arrived around 2:01 a.m., they spoke with the complainant, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.
The complainant said he was walking home from the 900 block of South Main Street when he found a friend of his around Third and High streets. While speaking to his friend, the complainant was knocked to the ground by another male at the scene, according to the report.
The complainant stated that he was punched and had his head stomped on. The complainant had a bloody nose and lacerations under his left eye, according to the report.
The complainant was medically evaluated by the Bowling Green Fire Division before being taken to the hospital.
Officers were unable locate the male who committed the alleged assault.
The complainant wanted charges to be filed, according to the report.
