PERRYSBURG — Wednesday at Woodlands lunchtime concert continues Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. with a performance the acoustic duo The Retro Men in the Woodlands Park shelter area, located at 429 E. Boundary St.
The series will continue every Wednesday through August, offering a midweek musical retreat.
Concert goers are encouraged to bring their own chairs for comfort. For those enjoying lunch during the performance, picnic tables are available in both sunny and shaded areas.
The Retro Men, consisting of Tim Oehlers, a guitarist who also plays harmonica, is a songwriter with numerous CDs to his credit, and guitarist/vocalist Gil Hernandez, will perform a mix of iconic classic covers along with original music by Tim Oehlers. According to Oehlers, the duo aims to showcase their guitar skills whenever possible.
Oehlers and Hernandez have a musical partnership spanning over 40 years, having played together in various bands and as the previous duo “Tim and Gil.” The name “The Retro Men” reflects their goal of presenting a retrospective of the music they enjoy performing together
