In conjunction with the community fireworks display on Wednesday, temporary road closures and altered traffic patterns will be implemented.
As released previously by the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce, the BG BOOM Festival and Fireworks will take place Wednesday at the Northwestern Ohio Tractor Pullers Association property. A festival will be held at the Wood County Fairgrounds before the display, providing games and activities, food vendors, and a performance by the Bowling Green Area Community Band. The fireworks will be launched at dusk.
Following the show, traffic exiting onto Brim Road will be directed either north or south by police officers. As visitors are leaving the fairgrounds, Poe Road, from Brim to Haskins, will be closed and police officers will be present to help direct traffic. Those parking in the Poe Road parking lot will be directed to exit onto Haskins Road and will not be permitted to exit onto Poe Road.
