Learn to navigate the Wood County Crisis Continuum

The Wood County Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services Board (WCADAMHS) and National Alliance on Mental Illness of Wood County (NAMI Wood County) will be hosting their inaugural Sequential Intercept Model: Connecting at the Intercepts Conference on Friday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Wood County Job and Family Services. Continuing education credit is pending for behavioral healthcare providers, attorneys, and law enforcement. Limited registration is available online at namiwoodcounty.org/form-view/102.

The sequential intercept model focuses on problem-solving for individuals involved in multiple systems, including criminal justice and behavioral health systems. The Wood County community has been actively implementing support strategies for this pnavigating the Wood County Crisis Continuumopulation for nearly a decade, with incredible support from various partners. Many of these partners participated in planning this conference.

The efforts from this community have resulted in the expansion of the local crisis system with the opening of the Crisis Stabilization Unit.

This year’s conference will focus on , providing participants with an in-depth look at when and how to utilize local resources and process through continued needs and challenges.
