Bowling Green police were dispatched Friday to a bar at the 300 block of East Wooster Street for a report of a male that had punched an employee.

When officers arrived around 11:48 p.m., they observed the staff restraining a male, who was identified as Hunter Broucker, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

The employee who allegedly was punched told police that he had been punched twice in the face. When Broucker was asked by officers what happened prior to their arrival, he stated that the bar staff would not accept his ID and broke it in half.

After this, the fight occurred, according to the report.

Broucker had lacerations on his knees and does not remember where they came from. Officers then spoke with the employee who was punched by Broucker, who stated they wanted to press charges, according to the report.

Broucker, 21, Canton, was arrested for assault and was taken to jail.
