Perrysburg junior shortstop Hayley Griggs is a first team Division I All-Ohio selection and her teammate Jessica Miller is second team in voting by the Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association.
In Division II, Eastwood’s Lilly Escobedo is first team All-Ohio, Otsego pitcher Riley Rowe is second team, and Eastwood’s Aby Bowe is honorable mention.
In the Northern Lakes League Buckeye Division, Griggs was named Player of the Year and Perrysburg coach Ryan DeMars was Coach of the Year.
Anthony Wayne (29-2 overall, 14-0 NLL) won the Buckeye Division championship and Perrysburg (26-5, 11-3) was runner-up, followed by Toledo Whitmer (16-8, 9-5), Findlay (16-10, 5-9) and Sylvania Northview (13-15, 5-9).
Perrysburg players joining Griggs on the All-NLL first team are senior pitcher Maison Gerrard, senior outfielder Jessica Miller and sophomore designed player Ky Thomas.
Perrysburg second team selections are sophomore pitcher Maddie Von Sacken, sophomore first baseman Aly Seuberling, sophomore outfielder Yesenia You, and senior utility player Ella Leonard.
In the NLL Cardinal Division, Bowling Green first teamers include junior pitcher Zoe Ziems and senior second baseman Makenna Oates.
BG second team selections are senior first baseman M.J. Walters, freshman third baseman Ella White, senior shortstop Samantha Trimpey, and junior outfielder Hannah Yarger.
BG finished the season 13-12 overall and 8-7 in the NLL to place behind Cardinal Division champion Springfield (21-8, 11-4) and Clay (19-9, 9-6). Springfield junior shortstop Camryn Hall was Player of the Year and Springfield coach Rob Gwozdz got top coaching honors.
Napoleon (12-13, 6-9) finished fourth in the league standings, followed by Sylvania Southview (6-17, 2-13) and Fremont Ross (7-21, 0-15).
In the Northern Buckeye Conference, Otsego junior Riley Rowe was named Pitcher of the Year and Oak Harbor senior first baseman Porter Gregory was named Offensive Player of the Year.
Rowe is joined on the first team by Lake sophomore third baseman Sophia Gruetter, Eastwood senior outfielder Lily Escobedo, Rossford junior center fielder Scarlett Williams and Lake junior designated hitter Kali Bedford.
Second team choices include Eastwood senior Cassi Kieper, Lake junior first baseman Kylee Pietrzak, Otsego senior second baseman Sabrina Martinez-Buehrer, Eastwood sophomore second baseman Karly Wasserman, Lake junior outfielder Ellie Rymers and Otsego freshman outfielder Ryleigh O’Brien.
Honorable mention selections are Lake junior pitcher Kali Bedford, Rossford senior first baseman Liv Hussar, Rossford freshman second baseman Nora Demory, Otsego sophomore third baseman Cailyn Rider, Lake freshman catcher Alayna Meadows, Lake senior center fielder Alivia King, Lake junior utility player Sarah Patrick, and Rossford senior DH Ary Bond.
Other HM selections include Makenzie Grover (Eastwood), Diem Isbell (Lake), Mackenzie Shirkey (Otsego), and Camryn Almester (Rossford).
