Men indicted for felonious assault

Two men, including one from Bowling Green, have been indicted for felonious assault.

A Wood County grand jury on June 5 indicted Wesley Earl Doolittle III, 43, of Bowling Green and currently in jail, for felonious assault, a second-degree felony.

On May 27, he allegedly caused serious physical harm after attacking his roommate with a baseball bat and a sword.

Christopher Alan Long, 37, Fremont, was indicted for felonious assault, a second-degree felony; and domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor. On May 28 in Pemberville, Long allegedly drove a vehicle at and struck a family member.

The grand jury also indicted:

• Johnnie Ray Sanders, 64, of Weston and currently in jail, for disrupting public service, a fourth-degree felony; and domestic violence, a second-degree misdemeanor. On May 25, he allegedly damaged or impaired the use of a telephone for emergency communications while causing a household member to believe he would cause her physical harm. Sanders had previously been convicted of domestic violence in May in Bowling Green Municipal Court.

• Cole Alexander Wade Shields, 30, Weston, for strangulation, a third-degree felony; and domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor. On May 25, Wood County sheriff’s deputies responded to a domestic violence report on Portage Road in Milton Township where Shields allegedly put his hands around a minor male’s neck.

• Mark A. Owens, 25, Rossford, for receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony, with specification for forfeiture of a weapon. On Dec. 19, officers detained Owens in what was reported to be a stolen vehicle. He was found in possession of an M&P 40 Sheild handgun that was reported stolen from the Detroit police department.

• Co-defendants Trea Willard Borders, 28, Pemberville, and Katelynn Yvonne Tallent, 22, Bowling Green, for breaking and entering, theft, receiving stolen property, and possessing criminal tools, all fifth-degree felonies. Between Jan. 8-17, they allegedly broke into an unoccupied structure and removed electronics and video games valued at more than $1,000.

• Thomas M. Hambleton, 63, Liberty Center, for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony; and two counts of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a drug or abuse or a combination of them (OVI), both first-degree misdemeanors. On March 22, he allegedly was found in possession of methamphetamine and operated a vehicle while under the influence. He has previously been convicted of OVI in Fulton County in 2018.

• Co-defendants Charmaine Yvette Norman, 32, and Jazmond Geovonnie Harris, 36, both of Detroit.

Norman was indicted for possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a first-degree felony; possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony; and attempted tampering with evidence, a fourth-degree felony. On Feb. 13, she allegedly was found in possession of 20-50 grams of fentanyl as well as cocaine and allegedly attempted to destroy or conceal the evidence knowing an investigation was in progress.

Harris was indicted for trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound and possession of a fentanyl-related compound, both first-degree felonies; possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony; and attempted tampering with evidence, a fourth-degree felony. On Feb. 13, she allegedly was found in possession of and was preparing for distribution between 20-50 grams of fentanyl. She also was allegedly found in possession of cocaine and allegedly attempted to destroy or conceal the evidence knowing an investigation was in progress.

• Raymond Acie Logan, 52, Detroit, for tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony; and possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana, both fifth-degree felonies. On March 15, he allegedly was found in possession of cocaine and more than 200 grams of marijuana and destroyed or concealed records to impair their value as evidence.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

• Zachary Palmer-Nickols, 36, Bowling Green, for theft, a fifth-degree felony. From Feb. 17-March 1, he allegedly deprive a woman through deception of more than $1,000 in currency.

• Ricky A. Layson Sr., 70, of Toledo and currently in jail, for burglary, second-degree felony; and theft, a fifth-degree felony. On May 23, he allegedly entered a secured portion of Lowe’s and removed a lawn mower valued at more than $1,000 without consent.

• Co-defendants Elizabeth Haubert, 31, and Raymond Stevens Jr., 42, both of Bowling Green, for theft, a fifth-degree felony. From Feb. 1-March 28, they allegedly stole merchandise from Walmart valued at more than $1,000.

Haubert also was indicted for possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fifth-degree felony, after she was allegedly found with it on March 28.

• Shanah Anton Newsome Sr., 46, Toledo, for improperly discharging a firearm at or into a habitation or a school safety zone, a second-degree felony; and having weapons while under disability, a third-degree felony. On April 12, he allegedly discharged a firearm into an occupied room at a Baymont hotel. He had been convicted of a felony in Wood County in 2021.

• Sabrina Eudy, 26, Toledo, for strangulation, a third-degree felony; and domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor. On May 5 on Birch Drive in Rossford, she allegedly grabbed another woman by the neck, causing her to be unable to breath while being choked.

• Co-defendants Jake Shane Osher, 26, Toledo, and Miranda Garcia Osher, 27, of Luckey, for theft, a fifth-degree felony. They allegedly removed various brands of football cards valued at more than $1,500 during several visits to Meijer in Rossford.
