Firefly Nights Festival returns Friday

The Firefly Nights Festival is set to return to the heart of Bowling Green on Friday, promising an evening filled with music, art, food, and community spirit.

This event will take place in the historic downtown area, bringing together residents and visitors alike to celebrate the vibrant culture and creativity of the city.

The festival, which kicks off at 5:30 p.m., will feature a diverse lineup of live music performances, showcasing local talents and regional artists across multiple genres. Attendees can look forward to an array of roaming entertainers, family-friendly activities, and a marketplace featuring local artisans and vendors.

Food enthusiasts will find a variety of culinary offerings available, from gourmet food trucks to the downtown restaurants.

The Firefly Nights Festival is a free event, open to all ages, and aims to foster a sense of community and togetherness. Entertainment offerings have been expanded this year to include a DJ, bungee trampoline and other activities aimed towards an older demographic.

Firefly Nights is nonprofit organization dedicated to planning and executing three strategic events in the heart of Bowling Green, The mission of Firefly Nights is to foster the diverse, neighborly, and lively atmosphere of Downtown Bowling Green while giving the community an opportunity to gather for fun, food and entertainment.

The festivals will be held the third Friday of June and July within the north and south blocks of Main Street. Firefly Nights on the Green will be held the third Friday of August.
