Isaiah Gladden of Grand Rapids, OH was one of more than 1,100 current University of Iowa students who participated in the 30th annual student-led Dance Marathon which generated more than $1.4 million for the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.

Amanda Anastasia Paniagua of Bowling Green, Daisy Nevarez of Bowling Green, Daniel McInnis of Perrysburg and Steven Speer of Perrysburg have been inducted into Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines Paniagua and Nevarez are at Bowling Green State University, and both McInnis and Speer are at the University of Toledo.

Seth Crawford, Rossford, explored insect research in annual dance concert at Baldwin Wallace University. Crawford was part of the BW theatre and dance community that presented “fyoo zh en ‘24: Spatial Proximity.” The annual “fyoo zh en” dance concert combines choreography with faculty research. Crawford, a graduate of Toledo School for the Arts majoring in music theatre, was a member of the dance company in the production.

Crawford was inducted into the Baldwin Wallace University Honors Program during the spring 2024 semester. He shared the distinction with 88 other high-achieving students.

Two Wood County students were honored by the Oklahoma State University Ferguson College of Agriculture with academic scholarship support for the 2024-2025 academic year. Scholarship recipients include Samantha VanVorhis of Bowling Green, who is studying agricultural communications; and Ashlyn O’Brien of Perrysburg, who is studying animal science. They both received a Ferguson College of Agriculture Scholarship.

Rossford student Madilyn Archambeau presented an original research project titled “Environmental Interpretation at the Whitehouse Nature Center” at Albion College’s recent Elkin R. Isaac Student Research Symposium. Archambeau is majoring in anthropology/sociology with a minor in religious studies. Archambeau is the child of Jennifer Archambeau of Bowling Green and Joseph Archambeau of Rossford and is a graduate of Rossford High School.

Bella Vaillant of Bowling Green was among over 250 students whose outstanding academic work was showcased during the 2024 Baldwin Wallace University Ovation Day of Excellence. Vaillant, a graduate of Perrysburg High School majoring in pre-allied health/pre-physical therapy, presented “The N200 ERP Correlate of Cognitive-Motor Interference in ACL-reconstructed Athletes.”
