Bowling Green State University baseball standout Nathan Archer has been named to the 2024 American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings NCAA Division I All-East Region Team. Archer, a junior outfielder, was named to the first team.

Archer, a native of Lagrange, Ohio (Keystone), becomes BGSU’s first all-region selection since 2013 and the Falcons’ first first-team pick since 2010.

The all-region award is just the latest in a long line of honors for Archer in 2024. The Mid-American Conference Player of the Year, he was also named to the All-MAC First Team, and earned MAC All-Defensive Team honors for the second-straight season.

Archer, the only Falcon to start all 53 games in 2024, hit .300 on the season and led the Falcons in a veritable plethora of categories, including at-bats (a school-record 247), runs scored (66), hits (74), runs batted in (64), doubles (14), triples (3 – tied for team lead), homers (18), slugging pct. (.599) and total bases (148).

He led the entire conference in at-bats and runs, and also had a .994 fielding percentage, with just one error in 163 total chances on the season.

Archer’s team-high 21 multiple-hit games included a five-hit contest against Akron (March 24). He also led the Falcons in multi-RBI games, with 15, and drove in five or more runs on five occasions in 2024. Archer had two homers in a game on five occasions, including three in MAC play.

With 35 career homers, Archer is tied for fourth in BGSU history, and he also ranks among the Falcons’ all-time top 10 in triples (10, tied for sixth), total bases (340, seventh) and RBI (137, tied for eighth).

Archer and the Falcons finished the 2024 campaign with an overall record of 33-20, and BGSU won the MAC regular-season title with a 24-6 conference mark. The Orange and Brown set records for conference wins in a season and best-ever MAC start (17-0), and 2024 marked the 15th 30-win season in program history.
