BG man cited for shoplifting

Over the weekend, Bowling Green Police were dispatched to the 100 block of West Gypsy Lane Road for a shoplifting complaint

The staff told officers that they have a regular customer who comes in and purchases numerous items and “palms” a Bouillon bar code and scans the bar code as he waives various items over the checkout scanner, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

Jesus Vasquez Garcia, 56, Bowling Green, was cited for theft/shoplifting.

Garcia visited the store on multiple occasions from March 22 to May 30 resulting in a theft amount of $697.32, according to the report.

He allegedly stole food, automotive, and home decor items; clothing; and mouse traps, according to the report.
