Man found unconscious cited for open container

On Saturday, Bowling Green Police were dispatched to the 100 block of West Merry Avenue on a report of an unconscious male.

When officers arrived, they discovered a male lying in the yard behind the residence seemingly unconscious, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

The male smelled heavily of alcoholic beverages and had an open can of beer in his possession. Bowling Green EMS treated the male, who could not tell them what day it was or who the president was, according to the report.

Luis Collazo-Gomez, 43, Bowling Green, was cited for open container and disorderly conduct/intoxicated-unable to care for self and was taken to the hospital.
