On Saturday, Bowling Green Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Clough Street for a possibly intoxicated subject.
A witness told police that they observed a male driving through the apartment’s parking lot at a high rate of speed before coming to an abrupt stop, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.
The male, identified as Jared Levengood, eventually exited his vehicle and was lying on the back of the vehicle, appearing sick or intoxicated before entering the backseat. When officers arrived, they observed Levengood, who was unresponsive as they pounded on the window, according to the report.
When Levelgood woke up and exited the vehicle, officers smelled a strong alcoholic odor. The male was unsteady on his feet and could not complete the field sobriety tests.
Levengood, 49, Bowling Green, was arrested for OVI/refusal and state OVI (prior refusal/20 years). Levengood was taken to jail.
