BG’s Novinsky places fifth at regional meet

PORT CLINTON — Bowling Green senior distance runner Aidan Novinsky placed fifth at the Division I regional meet Friday with a time of 9:22.22.

The top four runners automatically qualify for state and fifth place runners could get an at-large bid.

BG junior Erek Kendrick placed seventh in the 1600 with a time of 4:26.24, BG’s 4×800 relay team was 12th in 8:21.18, and Landon Fry was 15th in the 3200, finishing in 9:55.74.

For the Perrysburg boys, Terry Cooper Jr. was fifth in the 200-meter dash (22.15) and Samuel Lawanson III was sixth in the 100 (10.95).

The Perrysburg 4×100 relay team was sixth (43.18), the 4×200 (1:29.79) and 4×400 (3:26.75) were ninth, Brody Bauman was ninth in the 800 (1:58.1) and Connor Sniadanko was 10th in the 110 hurdles (15.75).
