BGPD responds to report of man with a knife
On Sunday around 6:17 p.m., Bowling Green police responded to the 430 block of South Main Street for a suspicious incident.
The caller told police that a male held a knife up to his neck, threating to harm himself, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.
When asked if he ever held a knife up to his neck, the male said no.
Roommates told police that the male held a pizza cutter up to his neck, not a knife. When the male was asked if he had any thoughts of self-harm, he stated that he did not, according to the report.
A social worker was present at the residence and told police that the male has special needs and is not suicidal.
No further action was needed, according to the report.
