Piqua man arrested for domestic violence

On Sunday, April 28 around 3:03 a.m., Bowling Green police were dispatched to the 300 block of East Court Street for a dispute.

Jhyston Malveaux, 20, Piqua, was arrested for domestic violence and underage/under the influence of alcohol and was cited for prohibited acts.

When officers arrived, they found the apartment in disarray, including a shattered mirror and blood throughout the apartment, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

Officers spoke to a witness who stated that Malveaux shoved an individual.

When Malveaux later returned to the apartment, officers observed an alcoholic odor on his breath and slurred speech. Malveaux stated that he was not responsible for the damages, claiming that the blood on his shirt was from climbing a fence.

He was taken to jail.
