The Bowling Green Kiwanis Club will celebrate the first of its inspirational educators on Thursday when it meets at the Slater Family Ice Arena Lounge, located on the campus of Bowling Green State University. The public is invited.

The meeting will commence at noon, with the option for attendees to purchase a lunch for $15 starting at 11:30 a.m.

Guest speaker will be Melanie Ferguson, an eighth grade science teacher at Bowling Green Middle School.

Ferguson will provide insights into the “Rewards and Challenges of Teaching Eighth Grade Science,” shedding light on the unique aspects of educating young minds in the field of science. Her expertise and dedication align perfectly with the Bowling Green Kiwanis Club’s mission to build a brighter future for the youth in our community.

The Bowling Green Kiwanis Club is celebrating its annual inspirational educator month in February.

Three inspirational educators have been selected by the teachers and staff from the Bowling Green School District.

Also honored at meetings in February will be Jennifer Hernandez, intervention specialist at Conneaut Elementary preschool, and Kristin Muir, reading specialist at Kenwood Elementary.
