Bowling Green State University goaltender Cole Moore was named Central Collegiate Hockey Association Rookie of the Month for December after recording 208 saves through December and posted a 3-3 record.
Moore was named Goaltender of the Week (Dec. 11) for the games on December 9-10 and is the first Falcon this season to earn two CCHA awards.
Moore recorded a .914 save percentage through December and a 2.75 goals allowed average. Moore saw his first collegiate shut-out on December 8 against Ferris State in Slater Family Ice Arena and went on to save 34 shots the following night for the first sweep of the season against the Bulldogs.
Moore recorded a season high of 43 saves at Bemidji State on December 14. Overall Moore has a 6-8-0 record with a .918 save percentage and 2.79 goals against average, on the season.
Bowling Green hockey will play a home-and-home series with Ohio State starting on Friday, January 5 at 7 p.m. in Value City Arena.
The series will continue Saturday, January 6 at 7:07 p.m. in Slater Family Ice Arena and will be the Orange Wave. Tickets for Saturday, January 6 are still available.
