Ronald Lee Steinman Sr., age 85, of Wayne, Ohio passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 28, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Bowling Green.

He was born on March 27, 1938, in Findlay to the late John E. & Delores L. (Hauman) Steinman. Ron first married Donna L. Hilkert on June 26, 1960, in Findlay, and they later divorced. He then married Jesse Willodean (Dickey) Heflin on October 31, 1970, in Wayne, and she preceded him in passing on June 6, 1989. Ron then spent 22 years with his loving companion, Delores J. Martin, before her passing on December 6, 2011.

Surviving Ron are his children, Ronald L. (Tina) Steinman Jr., of Jerry City, Randy (Millie) Steinman of Abilene, TX, Lisa (Doug) Barndt of Wayne, John (Karen) Steinman of Melbourn, FL; stepchildren, Pamela Hicks of Bowling Green, Connie Heflin of Luckey, Donna Heflin of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Ashley Iler, Brian (Jessica) Barndt, Dannielle (Kirk) Sidle, Brittany (Michael) Stevens, Zachary (Jen Vanscoder) Steinman, Kelsey (Cody Culver) Steinman; stepgrandchildren, Vincent (Amy) Mahler, Casey Mahler, Rodney (Tammy) Mahler, Tammy (Jim) Emirco, Shelly Heflin; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Autumn & Amelia Iler, Charley Barndt, Taylor & Chance Sidle, Jaxon & Mason Stevens; niece & nephew, Sheryl (Jonathan) Yoder, Michael Brobst; and many stepgreat-grandchildren, and stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Delores; 2nd wife, Willodean; loving companion, Delores Martin; sister, Nancy Stozich; and stepson, Ronnie Heflin.

Ron was a 1956 graduate of Findlay High School, attended Ohio State University for 5 quarters, and then worked as an Inventory Control Supervisor at Cooper Tire for many years. Over the years, Ron enjoyed bowling, going to the movies, and attending his grandchildren’s sporting and academic activities. He always looked forward to treating his grandchildren and great-grandchildren to their very own shopping trip and dinner around the Holiday’s and would never forget to send a card to his family for special occasions including birthdays, anniversaries, and holiday’s.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, where a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 12 p.m. with Pastor Tamara Bennett officiating.

Immediately following, burial will be at Graham Cemetery near Wayne.
