Janet L. Kidd, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother peacefully passed away on December 19, 2023 at the age of 84.
She was born on September 1, 1939 to the late Edward and Bertha (Snyder) Kerr.
Throughout her life, Janet took on various roles, including a dedicated homemaker and owner of Clancy’s Corner. She found joy in simple pleasures, such as spending time with her grandchildren, cooking delicious meals for others, and collecting antiques.
In addition to her parents, Janet was also preceded in death by her brother, Garry Kerr, sister, Rosanne Groll, and daughter, Robin Espen.
She leaves behind a legacy of unwavering love and devotion to be cherished by her surviving family members: her devoted husband of 63 years, Clarence Kidd; loving daughters, Nancy Kidd (Jerry Hill) and JoLynn (James) Gerken; eight grandchildren: Hanna, Allison, Gabrielle, Jessica, Chase, Joshua, Clay and Grace; a sister Wilma (Charles) Ameling; and a son in law, Michael Espen.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 27 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church 301 W. Main Street, Portage, Ohio 43451. Service will be held Thursday, December 28 at 11:00 a.m. by Rosanne Kalinowski followed by interment at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Wayne, Ohio.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dunn Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to Christ United Methodist Church.
