Aselia DeLaCruz, 80, of Findlay and formerly of Hoytville, passed away at 9:32 a.m., on Friday, December 15, 2023, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay. She was born on June 15, 1943, in Wisconsin to the late Celestino and Ernestina (Castillo) DeLaCruz.

Aselia is survived by her son, Raymond Quiroga of Lawton, OK; daughters: Sylvia Quiroga of Fostoria and Mary Lou Tyson of Risingsun; brothers: Fred DeLaCruz of Findlay, Ramiro Leal of Findlay and Roberto DeLaCruz of Finday; sisters: Mary Miranda of Findlay and Alice Lopez of Dallas, TX; grandchildren: Rosalinda (Juan) Arreola, Lynn (Tim) Superczynski, Cassie Tyson, Megan (Jared) Tyson-Struck, Micah Jay (Emily) Minthorn, Martina Minthorn, and Malachi Japlait (Naomia) Quiroga; great-grandchildren: Kingston Ray Minthorn, Juan Manuel Camacho Arreola, Paloma Camacho Arreola, Emilano Camacho Arreola, Jared (Korrin) Houtz, Justin Houtz, Cole Foos, Julian Micah Jay Minthorn, Sierra Raine Minthorn, Marley Sunshine Minthorn, Tallia Celeste Quiroga, Elias Natt, Manto Roubedeaux and Nyiyu Quiroga; great-great-granddaughter, Saige Lei.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Jose Castro; brother, Mike DeLaCruz; brother, Jesse DeLaCruz; sisters: Engletina DeLaCruz and Angie Martinez.

Aselia retired from Sonoco Protective Solutions.

A funeral service will be held at 11a.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Smith-Crates Funeral Home, North Baltimore. Burial will be in New Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Smith-Crates Funeral Home, North Baltimore.

Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Patient Services and/or Bridge Home Health and Hospice.
