Lake 3-1 after 86-62 win over Stritch

OREGON — Visiting Lake got five players into double figures to defeat Cardinal Stritch in non-league boys basketball, 86-62, on Monday.

Caleb Tobias scored 20 points, Carter Behlmer and Dylan Wiley scored 12 apiece and Travis Merrill and Jay Blazevich scored 11 points apiece to pace the Flyers, which improve to 3-1, while Stritch falls to 1-2.

The Flyers hit nine three-point shots, led by Behler, who had four triples and Wiley and Merrill made two apiece.

Drew Tajblik scored eight points, Preston Snyder scored six points, Jack Sobczak scored four points, and Xavier Scott added two points for the Flyers, which outscored the Cardinals 45-27 in the second half.

For Stritch, Tommie Taylor scored 23, Owen Yost scored 16, Christian Swilling and Tyler Bohnsack scored six apiece, Cole Tobias scored five points, Xavier Blackman scored three points, Sam Bohnsack scored two points, and King Wilson Jr added one point.
