BLOOMDALE — US News and World Report has announced that Elmwood Middle is a “Best School.”
Elmwood Elementary also has been recognized.
There are, according to US News and World Report, 1,684 public middle schools and 762 private middle schools in the state of Ohio, for a total of 2,446. Elmwood Middle School ranked #137 which puts it in the top 6%.
Elmwood Elementary School placed #402 statewide out of 1,531 schools that were ranked.
Schools are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation, and how well they prepare their students for high school.
To be recognized, the school needed to be in the top 40%.
