Bowling Green’s Marcus Hill, a junior guard from Rockford, Ill., is the Mid-American Conference mens basketball Player of the Week.

This marks the first award of Hill’s BGSU career and he is the first Falcon to be named MAC Player of the Week since Daeqwon Plowden was named on Feb. 15, 2021 during the 2020-21 campaign.

Hill was a key piece for the Falcons as they went 2-1 at the Northern Classic this past weekend. Hill led the Falcons in scoring in each game and paved the way in assists twice as well.

His best game of the weekend came against Lipscomb, playing all 40 minutes of action and recording a season-high 33 points while shooting 65.2% from the field.

Against the Bisons, Hill put together a complete stat line with five assists, four rebounds and a steal. This came after he started the weekend with 29 points, a then season-high, against Western Kentucky while adding five rebounds and shooting 71.4% from the field.

Hill wrapped up his weekend with 26 points in the win over Canisius, including the go-ahead bucket with less than a minute left in the game to seal the win for the Falcons. He finished with four assists and three rebounds against the Griffins.

The next game for the Falcons will be against Southern Indiana on Dec. 2 before returning home to the Stroh Center on Dec. 10 against Ohio Dominican.
