Jacqueline Sue Reynolds (Jackie)

Jacqueline Sue Reynolds (Jackie), 62, of Perrysburg, passed away Thursday October 26, 2023 after a day spent with family, ending her courageous battle with ovarian cancer.

Jackie was born September 9, 1961 in Adrian, Michigan to D. Jack and Vonda (Eckard) Lemon. She grew up in Adrian and was an avid swimmer and musician – taking up the piano and cello.

After high school, Jackie went on to earn her bachelor degree from Michigan State University and worked in the food and restaurant industry for several years. She moved to Ohio and began working in assisted living facilities, helping residents and their families navigate the challenges of transition of life.

Jackie showed her caring and compassionate nature through her work and through her commitment to her church, Prince of Peace Lutheran in Oregon, Ohio. Here, she always served in her free time with the youth, or by participating in choir. She raised her daughter, Samantha in the same church, and instilled lessons of hard work and empathy, with reliance on faith.

When Samantha was young, Jackie also enjoyed traveling with her parents to various places including the Carolinas to visit family, Washington D.C., all around Michigan, and Toronto.

In 2008, Jackie met Dave from Perrysburg, Ohio, through online dating. They enjoyed many coffee dates, and dreamed of retiring in the woods of northern Michigan. They were married May 8, 2010 and shared 13 and a half happy years together. In recent days, Jackie enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Ruth.

Jackie is survived by her husband, David; mother, Vonda; daughter, Samantha (Andrew) English; granddaughter, Ruth; siblings, Jim (Nancy) Lemon, Linda LaRocque, and Juna (Mark) Casper as well as many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 4155 Pickle Road, Oregon, Ohio 43616 at 11am.
